From a Franco Baresi visit to the diversity of its members, Franco A. Zagari chats AC Milan Club New York City.
“Just a short walk from Times Square, the crossroads of the world, and directly across from the Empire State Building, lies an institution: The Football Factory at Legends Pub. A gathering place for many supporters clubs of New York City, including the AC Milan Club New York City.
A club that holds its beginnings in 2008 as a part of the Milan Club of New Jersey, the group grew and evolved into its own fan club centred in one of the greatest cities in the world. Founded by Alessandro Rimoldi, Giancarlo Rosselli, and Francesco Campari, this club gained traction thanks to the advent of social media in the early 2010s.
The Milan Club of New York City currently has 71 official members. These members include men and women who are natives of Milano, other parts of Italy, Italian-Americans, other European nations, Central and South Americans, Africans, Asians, all of whom share an incredible passion for the red and black. Along with the locals, the supporters club holds a long-standing tradition of welcoming visitors and tourists from all over the globe looking for a place to watch matches in New York City and has become a pillar of the many AC Milan Clubs in North America and around the world.
Aside from the many memorable matches viewed at the Football Factory, the club has made the pilgrimage numerous times to the San Siro.
The club also had the privilege of hosting the legendary captain Franco Baresi for a charity event in conjunction with Fondazione Milan, AC Milan’s foundation, at the Football Factory in the summer of 2019, as well as Daniele Massaro in the summer of 2018. If you are ever in New York, please do not hesitate to contact them and join them for what is a unique, and unforgettable experience!”
